The old watergate

Not very far from the new main station runs a path along a canal. There is a restaurant by the famous chef Sarah Wiener, and then an area starts where most tourists will never go. Old industrial buildings, derelict warehouses.... soon, this place will be redeveloped... like the old watergate that I painted today.

Nicht weit vom neuen Hauptbahnhof führt ein Weg an einem Kanal entlag. Dort gibt es ein Restaurant der bekannten Köchin Sarah Wiener, und dann beginnt eine Gegend, wo es kaum je Touristen hinverschlägt. Alte Industriegebäude, verfallene Lagerhallen .... bald wird das ganze Gebiet dort neu erschlossen ... unter anderem auch die alte Schleuse, die ich heute gemalt habe.
